Climate change poses one of the greatest existential threats to the world. Measures to address this crisis are divided into two groups: adaptation and mitigation. Adaptation measures are aimed at reducing vulnerability to the impacts of climate change and mitigation measures aim to prevent climate change by reducing and limiting greenhouse gas emissions.
Air pollution also leads to serious problems for both human health and the environment. Increased energy and industrial production, the burning of fossil fuels and biomass, as well as an increase in road transport contribute to air pollution.
Our members are particularly experienced in the development of strategic documents for state institutions and cities, such as the development of the Sustainable Energy and Climate Action Plan for Czech Cities (SECAP) and the Green City Action Plan (EBRD), as well as in the calculation of carbon footprints, flue gas and waste gas cleaning, and have participated in preparedness and emergency management plans, and have also been involved in the drafting of specialist legislation for partner countries.
